The torture abuse photos which were due to be released this month, which president Obama is trying to block from seeing the light of day which he described as "not particularly sensational"  include pictures of acts of rape, male and female, and other sexual humiliation and abuse, these allegations have been around for some time, but today the Telegrapgh newspaper has interviewed General Anthony Taguba, who led a investigation into abuse claims in 2004 and uncovered the gross conditions in which prisoners were being held in Iraq.

It was only a matter of time before one of the ultra militaristic war mongering pillocks suggested that the US military should carry out attacks and murder journalists, and it's now happened, one Ralph Peter writing for the "Journal of International Security Affairs," (another neo-con stink tank ?) stated that -"Although it seems unthinkable now, future wars may require censorship, news blackouts and, ultimately, military attacks on the partisan media"  

Although it seems George Bush was way ahead of this idiot because back in April of 2004 Bush suggested bombing Al JazeeraTV head quarters in Qatar to former British prime minister Tony bLIAR, who managed to  persuade Bush it wasn't a very good idea, one can only assume that Al Jazeera's policy of showing dead Iraqi's, US soldiers and the general horrors of war was what spurred Bush to think of bombing them, after all, he had banned US cameras from taking photos of returning US coffins. 

And In 2001 the US military bombed Al Jazeera's Kabul Office.

Pro War, Big Government "Conservatives" Protest Tax Which Pays For The Wars They Support And Promote.

Self described "Conservatives" such as Michelle Malkin, Laura Ingrham , Newt Gingrich, Sean Hannity and some other plebs from fox news  have joined the protesters at the anti tax marches that have been held across the US, the so called "Tea Party" rallies, which were inspired by the tax revolts of 1773 in Boston. 

Ironically it was the likes of Sean Hannity and co who supported and continue to lionize George Bush and his administration, who grew the size of government to massive proportions, doubled the national debt,, increased military spending, and committed the US military into two un-winnable/unnecessary  and hugely  expensive wars which still seem to have no end in sight, so the question has to be asked, if these pro war/pro empire anti tax protesters want to have credibility surely they have to have a re-think of their support for a trillion dollar a year foreign policy ? do these myopic morons think these aggressive wars/occupations pay for themselves ? perhaps they drank too much of Donald Rumsfeld/Paul Wolfowitz et al's coolaid ?

It has to be noted that the Tea Party protests was originally a concept thought up by supporters of the heroic texas congressman Ron Paul  back in 2007,  but since the election of Barack Obama, and the republicans going into opposition, the real grass roots antiwar/anti tax/pro freedom tea party groups  who have a consistent and principled message have been hijacked and infiltrated by big government, pro war, neo-conservatives such as staunch pro war hawk Newt Gingrich and friends , who perhaps haven't fully thought through their opposition to paying taxes ? because  not only are these people pro war, they are also staunchly pro Israel, a country which receives masses of US taxpayers money each year, do they think this should be cut I wonder ? Gingrich, by the way,  "reluctantly" supported Bush's 700 billion  bailout Last september, 

So there you have it, we have a strange situation where pro war/pro empire and big government advocates are protesting over paying taxes which pays for the leviathan monster their hero George Bush created, whoever said Americans don't do Irony ?  :- ) 

There's nothing wrong with protesting taxes, indeed it is a admirable cause, but there has to be at least a little consistency here, you can't possibly be for both a empire abroad and expect to pay no taxes at home, how would it be funded ? it's a huge contradiction , you can't have your cake and eat it, if you want a empire then you can't moan about paying taxes to maintain it.

Don't they understand, they must "pay taxes to beat the axis" (of evil ?).

It's almost a year to the day that the New York Times ran a article exposing the pentagons shill analyst program, a program which included sending retired generals to appear on news networks such as Fox and MSNBC to put a favorable spin on the Iraq war and other anti American policies such as the gulag at Guantanamo bay, unsurprisingly these "analysts" are also very much tied into the military industrial complex (MIC), as is often the case with retired generals, they leave the military and go on to get cushy jobs on the board of a military contractor.

Well it appears that the temptation to go on TV and shill for the DoD/pentagon/MIC, even after being exposed as a shill, has proved to much for retired Lt. Gen Tom McIerney, who since being named as one of the pentagons shills has still appeared on Fox a number of times, but perhaps his latest appearance has been the most brazen, yesterday he appeared on Fox news to discuss the Somali pirate situation, and obviously with a platform on national TV he couldn't help himself, during the interview he suggested that the US should use the F22 fighter jets to combat the pirates, and as ThinkProgress has pointed out, Mr McIerney,, who runs his own consulting firm, actually worked as a consultant for Northrop Grumman, who is a major contractor for ........ you guessed it, the F22!.
